More about Professor Emeritus Kumar Das
Professor Emeritus Kumar Das is a Senior Fellow (Academician) of The Academy of Sciences Malaysia, and a Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) and the Malaysian Institute of Chemistry. His distinguished research, which has won him the National Science Award, centres on tin-based compounds of the Organotin class, where he has discovered several novel structures and demonstrated their selective biological actions as crop-protection agents, industrial biocides, and antitumor therapeutics.

Professor Emeritus Kumar Das previously served as Senior Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Science at Universiti Malaya. He then led Petra Technologies Inc. Research Centre in Kuala Lumpur as Executive Director, followed by appointment as Foundation Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of the Asian Institute of Medicine, Science and Technology (AIMST) in Kedah. Later, he held the position of Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of Quest International University in Perak, Malaysia.

In recognition of his significant contributions to higher education in Kedah, he was conferred the Dato’ title via the D.S.D.K. award by the Sultan of Kedah.

Professor Emeritus Kumar Das currently provides consultancy and advisory services on the production and application of tin-based chemicals, and on higher education development. He is an award-winning author with a number of technical, biographical, and fictional books to his name. He remains active in the affairs of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia, while also lending his services as Vice President to the Malaysian Research Development Organisation, as a member of the international advisory panel of the Malaysian Oil Scientists’ & Technologists’ Association, and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Tropical Science Foundation (formerly known as the Mahathir Science Award Foundation).

More about Cecil Mark Alexander
Cecil Mark Alexander, a Singaporean national was educated in Singapore and subsequently completed his tertiary education in the United Kingdom.

He is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ACA) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation, UK (ATII). He is also a member of the British Institute of Management (AMBIM).

He has more than 30 years of experience in the global executive arena, having held various positions progressively in auditing, ship owning, banking, oil and gas, and consultancy. He marketed “Airbus” in Indonesia, China and India, and reviewed World Bank Highway Studies in China as a consultant. He worked and travelled extensively from residences in Oxford, London, Monaco, Brussels, Fribourg, Singapore, Boston and Geneva. His appointments include being Auditor, Accountant, Financial Controller, Chief Financial Officer, Managing Director, President CEO and Chairman of some fine multi-national groups dotted around the globe, especially in Europe, and the USA as well as having exposure in developing countries. He has hired top personnel in Europe and successfully re-organised and managed two multi-national groups.

Bob Singh started his career in the United Kingdom. He gained vast experience in the Oil and Gas industry, in offshore and onshore petroleum development and oil refineries. After 18 years in the UK, he returned to Malaysia.

He now has 40 years of experience in the International Financial and Investment Banking field and in Project Initiation, Project Structuring and Implementation and Project Management to achieve successful conclusion.
