RESEARCH & ANALYSIS

Research and analysis in the science and research field are essential processes for advancing knowledge, solving problems and improving technologies.

Research
LEPI performs various forms of research for its clients, as follows:

  • Basic Research: Conducted to enhance understanding of fundamental principles without immediate practical application.
  • Applied Research: Focused on solving specific, practical problems.
  • Experimental Research: Involves controlled experiments to test hypotheses.
  • Observational Research: Collects data without manipulation of variables, often used in fields like astronomy or epidemiology.

Analysis
Analysis in scientific research refers to the interpretation of data gathered during the research process. LEPI undertakes the following:

  • Quantitative Analysis: Involves statistical or numerical evaluation of data to find patterns, correlations, or trends.
  • Qualitative Analysis: Involves non-numerical data, such as interviews or observations, to derive insights into behaviors, concepts, or phenomena.
  • Data Visualization: Charts, graphs, and other visual tools are often used to make sense of complex datasets.
  • Statistical Significance: Determines whether findings are due to chance or represent true effects in a study.

Both research and analysis are integral to scientific discovery and innovation, with the goal of expanding the collective knowledge while improving processes and technologies across fields.
