POWER & RENEWABLE ENERGY
Power engineering is a subfield of electrical engineering that focuses on the generation, transmission, distribution, and utilization of electrical energy. It involves designing and managing systems that produce power, such as power plants (fossil fuel, nuclear, and hydroelectric), as well as the electrical grids that deliver this power to homes, businesses, and industries.
Renewable energy refers to energy generated from natural resources that are continuously replenished, such as sunlight, wind, water, and geothermal heat. The transition to renewable energy is driven by the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and combat climate change. Key types of renewable energy include solar power, wind power, hydropower, and bioenergy. Technologies such as solar panels, wind turbines, and hydroelectric dams convert natural forces into usable electricity. Engineers in renewable energy work on improving the efficiency, scalability, and integration of these technologies, aiming for sustainable and clean energy solutions that reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
Both fields are critical to addressing the global demand for energy while ensuring sustainability for future generations.
LEPI has the expertise to assist clients in this field.

OIL & GAS
The oil and gas industry is a global sector that focuses on the exploration, extraction, refining, and distribution of petroleum and natural gas resources. These resources are critical for producing energy, fueling transportation, and manufacturing a wide range of products, including plastics, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals.
The industry is typically divided into three main segments:
- Upstream: Involves exploration and production (E&P) activities, where oil and gas reserves are located, drilled, and extracted from beneath the earth's surface.
- Midstream: Focuses on the transportation, storage, and processing of crude oil and natural gas. This includes pipelines, tanker ships, and refining facilities.
- Downstream: Involves refining crude oil into usable products such as gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and petrochemicals, and distributing these products to consumers.
The oil and gas industry is essential to the global economy, providing energy for electricity, heating, transportation, and industrial processes.
LEPI has the resources to assist clients to realise their objectives.
